Helping Haiti. We're up to 5 days. Let's go 7.

magdala

I was lucky enough to be in Haiti just a couple of weeks ago. The enormity of the problem is huge and we'll be featuring a photo essay and article addressing some of the broader concerns. But one of the images that wouldn't let me go is Magdala.

She's living in the Son of God Orphanage, where 126 orphans, the doctor and his family as well as the teachers who come to educate the kids each day can be fed for $NZ140 per day. When we were there - those days were coming pretty intermittently.

Living in a condemned building, where the kids sleep in the courtyard for safety - there is always a place to start in rebuilding a nation. Feeding these kids short term is such a priority.
